Modifications

We can offer several different modification services including, but not limited to: Seat reconfiguration, LED light fitment, installation of new modular equipment, upgrade of control equipment and fitment of air conditioning.

Here are a couple of examples of our work:

Class 166 Mods

We delivered this project in our own workshop in Long Marston which required a number of modification services to the vehicles. This included: replacement of engine radiators, removal and refit of modified HVAC Rafts and installation of Metron Data Loggers.

Class 166 Mods at Reading Depot

Chrysalis Rail conducted this project on 151 vehicles on our client’s site in Reading. Modifications to these vehicles included LED headlights, LED marker and tail lights, relays and contactors, parking break modifications and AWS indicators.

Class 153 C5P

This project was also delivered in our own depot and included corrosion repairs and full exterior paint & re-livery. We carried out a number of modifications to the vehicle including: installation of Webasto Auxiliary Heaters, replacement of coupler connection boxes and replacement of brake controllers.
